October Chapter Meeting

  •  October 22, 2020
     11:30 am - 1:00 pm

Please join us for our next VIRTUAL chapter meeting on Thursday, October 22, at 11:30 AM via Microsoft Teams! Attendees who don’t have Microsoft Teams can also call-in by phone.

Norman Ritchie, Director with vPSI Group LLC, will be discussing “Pragmatic Inclusion of Human Performance Factors in Incident Investigation.” Human Performance issues may be complex and can cover a broad range of disciplines. Investigating incidents from a Human Performance perspective requires a different approach than conventional incident analysis methodologies allow. This presentation offers a pragmatic set of concepts that can be applied through the entire process of responding to the learning opportunities presented by incidents, including data acquisition, analysis, and developing appropriate and optimized corrective actions for Human Performance causal factors.

vPSI is a unique integrated management system that effectively maximizes the benefits of learning opportunities acquired through research, analysis, positive experience, and the “unplanned events” that all organizations encounter. This is achieved by:

  • Measuring an organization’s performance in assimilating new knowledge, and
  • Providing a platform for organization-wide sustainable continuous improvement.

Although the vPSI System™ originated in the world of risk management, it is much more than a safety program; the way your organization responds to any kind of problem or unplanned event can be vastly improved by adopting vPSI techniques.

Please contact a chapter leader or send us an email at bayouchapterasse@gmail.com  if you have not received or would like to receive a meeting invite. Your continued support and participation are greatly appreciated and encouraged during these times!
